Hello! Welcome to the wonderful chaos that is my brain. I wanted to add a blog because I want you to know who I am. I am a people person and love to talk and make friends. Sounds a little first day of pre-schoolish, I know. My husband's name is Chris and we live in Mobile, AL. He is a youth pastor and I am a photographer and stay at home mommy. We have a one year old daughter named Adeline. She has been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that makes it difficult for her body to break down carbs and sugar. The body and especially the brain uses carbs and sugar for energy, muscle development, healing, and growth. When she was in the womb her brain did not form right because it wasn't able to get the nutrients it needed. Because of that she suffers from seizures, is heavily medicated and has had brain surgery. She is a fighter to say the least. I am also in school full-time to get a counseling degree. After I get that degree, I plan on going into nursing where I hope to work as a NICU nurse. It is a busy life for sure but I love it. We also have two kitties and a dog who drive me crazy but I like them for the most part. Photography has always been a hobby of mine. I really enjoy nature photography and doing portraits. I am one of those weirdly sentimental people about nature and the soul and beauty. I won't blow incense at you and I wear a bra but deep down inside my soul loves nature and the stillness and the beauty of it all. Anyway, peace love and blessings and that is all for now :).

One of the perks of being a photographer is that I always have my camera with me. Getting to visit my grandfather, who was diagnosed with Leukemia the fall of 2016, was such a special trip. It was extremely hard to see how different my grandparents were from what I remembered them as. It felt weird to stand in their house again. I remembered days of large feasts and lots of cousins to play with. But being there for my grandfather in the nursing home and visiting my grandmother as she still lives at home was really special. I am glad I captured some of the most precious memories while I still could.
